Parkview Clinic provides the Wellington Hospital Board’s pregnancy counselling and termination service and is an outpatient unit situated within Wellington Hospital grounds. The Senior Social Worker is responsible for the provision of counselling services provided by a team of six social workers, 3.6 W.T.E. Skills in team leadership, supervision and staff management are sought. The successful applicant will have a social work qualification and considerable experience in counselling, preferably in health-related fields. The Senior Social Worker is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the Clinic in consultation with the Nursing Supervisor. This is a temporary position for a period of one year, and subject to a review, may be extended for a further temporary period of one year; after which the position may become permanent.
