The appointee will be part of the Community Development Division and will work as part of the Community Advisory Team. The Childcare Adviser is responsible for the smooth running of the Childcare Section which includes a Full Day Care Centre, Family Day Care programmes, After School Care and a responsibility for advising community groups interested in establishing childcare facilities. The appointee will be responsible for keeping the Council Informed on the latest trends and the Government policies in childcare. The worker will also be expected to assist in developing Council’s policies in the area of child care.
