By david McCarthy Laura Fergusson Trust day at Riccarton tomorrow could produce an unexpected Christmas bonus for course patrons or shoppers at the City Mall. The Trust has run a number of successful fund-raising days at northern meetings in recent years and a highlight of tomorrow’s meeting is a Christmas box of gifts worth $4OOO donated by 100 shops in the City Mall. Entries ' for the prize can be made on the course or in the City Mall shopping area. Another highlight of the day is a fashion parade which is divided into three sections: sportswear at 1.50 p.m.; day wear at 2.25 p.m.; and evening wear at 3 p.m. The Canterbury Jockey Club is offering something extra for betters too with live telecasts from both the Te Aroha and Otaki Maori meetings during the day.
