Snow dance organised

While Mount Hutt had a badly needed dumping of snow at the week-end, further south ski-fields are still suffering from a snow shortage. It is a time for desperate measures and a Radio Caroline disc jockey, Corin Crisp — himself a keen skier — is organising a snow dance due to be performed about 5.30 this evening. While the radio station does its act, in Timaru skifield staff will be doing their version of a snow dance at both Ohau and Mount Dobson which are yet to open this season. At the same time the Wizard is expected to be trying out his power on the roof of his house in Christchurch.
