Lewis successful
NZPA-Reuter Indianapolis It could have been a washout for Carl Lewis but it became one of his best long jump performances ever. Twice, once in driving rain, the 1984 quadruple Olympic champion came from behind to defeat compatriot Larry Myricks in an impressive long jump final at the United States Olympic trials.
