Printers’ award settled
PA Auckland The national printers’ award has been settled in Auckland,! parties to the talks confirmed last evening.
Newspaper publishers and the ’Printers’ Union agreed to! an 8.5 per cent wage increase over 11 months. j
It was also agreed that the union and individual companies might during the award negotiate matters associated with new computer technology. An agreement reached previously by Independent Newspapers, Ltd, with its printers [covering the introduction of new technology hast become part of the 11-month award.
