Paul Cole honoured
NZPA-Reuter London Paul Cole has ended 1987 as top English racehorse trainer overseas after 10 victories outside Britain earned him £614,625 \ (SNZI.74 million). \ The Prix Vermeille winner, Bint\Pasha, was the biggest contributor but Cole also won the Italian Derby with Zaizoom. reached £4.67 million (5NZ13.26 million), just short of last year’s record of £4.72 million (JNZI3.4 million). On Tuesday Cole was given an award by the International Racing Bureau. They also honoured 15-times French champion jockey, Yves Saint-Martfa, who had his final ride in France last week, for services to international racing.
