Players’ behaviour in question

PA ; Dunedin The Southern Rugby Qub will meet this week to discuss allegations of misbehaviour by a club group on Stewart Island last week-end. The group was ordered off the island on Saturday after several incidents in the township of Oban on Friday night. -Mr Bob Crawford, president of the Southern dub, is out of Dunedin on business until Thursday and a meeting will be convened after his return. In Invercargill yesterday Mr Crawford said he had been in touch with Constable Mike Te Au, of Halfmoon Bay. “He was very helpful and I am taking the information to Dunedin and will present it to the dub executive. I have no further comment to make at this stage,” he said. Club officials approached in Dunedin yesterday said any statements on the matter should be made by Mr Crawford. The group on the island included several members of this year’s senior squad.
