Notable soccer scoring
There were some notable goal-scoring feats in Sunday's round of Canterbury women’s soccer.
In the first division match between Hornby and Halswell, Andrea Dennis scored a hat-trick for Hornby, earning it a 3-3 draw.
In the third division Technical had a hefty 9-1 win against Lyttelton, Shelley Barrett, aged 13, scoring four goals. , In the fifth division Technical beat Shamrock, 4-0, Sandra Kirkland hitting three goals. Margaret Hughes was in top form for the fourth division side, Halswell, scoring four times in its 7-4 win over Rangers. Results:
