Kay Newton, aged 12, with two black lambs which were born on the Ashley property of Mrs Merl Dawson on April 1. Mrs Dawson runs a small flock of sheep for spinning wool. Although the ram and the ewes are kept in the same paddock throughout the year, the lambs are not normally born until June.
