Britain ‘would not sign’
PA Wellington Britain clearly would not sign protocols to the South Pacific nuclear-free zone treaty, said the Prime Minister, Mr Lange, yesterday. He said he had
received no formal word from the British on whether they would sign, but clearly they would not “because of the solidarity which exists with the Western nuclear powers.”
The United States and France have already announced they do not intend to become signatories.
