Finalist passed fit

The Western Australian Inter-Dominion Championship grand finalist, Prince of Princes, was passed fit to start in today’s $350,000 race after a special and intensive veterinary examination yesterday. The examination by Messrs Bob Mackay and Corin Murfitt, was carried out at the direction of the chief stipendiary steward, Mr Peter Mackenzie.

“He looked a bit ‘proppy’ after the heat last Saturday and I felt he had to be inspected before the right of reentry expired at midday. The examination showed that he was fit to start,” said Mr Mackenzie.
