Shooting ‘misunderstanding’
PA Oamaru A "misunderstanding” led to an armed offenders squad alert over an incident on a farm at Morven, south of Waimate, early yesterday. Timaru officers were alerted soon after 8 a.m. when a shotgun was fired
near a farmer and his wife. However, before the squad was mobilised the incident was cleared up as a “misunderstanding,” said Sergeant Bill Workman yesterday. There was a disagreement between the farmer and an employee.
