Canty keeps bowls title
Canterbury successfully defended the A. S. Paterson trophy for Indoor bowls at the week-end, comfortably beating North Otago, 44-12. By the half-way stage Canterbury was already a clear leader by 20 points to eight John Smith won both. his fours and pairs to score the only points In the second round for North Otago. Also played at Kearneys road at the week-end was the Canterbury mixed fours. The final was won by Graham Imms in a very close finish from Tom Clark, 10-9.
