Women’s champs worth $50,000
PA Auckland At least $50,000 will be at stake in the women’s world squash champion-
ships in Auckland next year. The New Zealand Motor Corporation, the Honda franchise-holders, yesterday announced an agreement to become the main sponsor of the championships. Squash already benefits from the Honda sponsor-*
ship of the New Zealand International Open, and the New Zealand women's team.> ‘
New Zealand was runner-up in the teams’ event of the world championships last .year in Dublin. ■' The championship director, Susie Simcock, expects 19 countries to take part in the Auckland event. ?'■
