College picket
Sir,—l am most concerned about Anglican ministers, who are supposed to be there for people of every political affiliation, colour and creed, picketing outside a Christchurch college this week. I wonder how many people seeing this decided that region and so-called religious
people had gone too rar. 1, for one, was ashamed and did not want to be known as an Anglican. Why concern themselves about things overseas if they are going political? Why do they not concern themselves with the apartheid being practised by this Labour Government against anyone not Maori? — Yours, etc., J. G. HENDERSON. June 10, 1986. Sir, —The Anglicans who protested outside Christ’s College on Monday morning in opposition to the reinstatement of a Cavalier rugby player, John Mills, to the teaching staff, do not represent all Anglicans.—Yours, etc., B. MURRELL. June 10, 1986.
