Homosexual law changes

Sir,—Mr Joe Simmonds, of Concerned Christians, has in fact illustrated that arguments against homosexual law reform are based on misinformation. He claims that liberalising the law in overseas countries has directly affected the increase in A.I.D.S. He is wrong. The highest incidence of people with A.I.D.S. is in New York, the largest

city in the United States, where you would expect there to be higher numbers of everything. For 15 years gay activists have tried to get gay rights ordinances through the city council, and have failed. The highest per capita incidence of A.I.D.S. in the United States is in Belle Vue, Florida, where none of the victims are homosexual.—Yours, etc., HUGH GAW. July 9, 1985.
