J. Macartney injured

PA Tauherenikau A Levin apprentice, Jason Macartney, was taken to Masterton Hospital following a fall from Our Kathleen in the Carterton Auto Spraying Maiden at Tauherenikau yesterday. Macartney fell from his mount about 50m short of the winning post and did not appear to suffer any interference from the other runners.

He suffered severe bruising and was taken to hospital for observation.
