Transport licences

The Ministry of Transport is urging transport firms to apply for replacement licences. Only about a'third of the licences have been replaced as required by last year’s Transport Amendment Act. Goods, passenger, rental, and harbour ferry service licence-holders must apply

for a replacement licence before December 31. Any firm which has not had a licence reissued by then will need to apply for a new one. This costs $33 and could take several weeks. Services may not be run without a licence, the Ministry said. Licences can be renewed at any Ministry office.
