Wounded M.P. in House

PA Wellington The National member of Parliament for Ashburton, Mr R. L. G. Talbot, sat in Parliament yesterday with a prominent bandage on one side of his head. He jokingly told inquirers he had been hit over the head with a Budget leak. But the bandage, which conceals four stitches, was the result of bumping into

the overhanging edge of a building while getting out of his car in Wellington. Mr Talbot said he had been due to attend a meeting with a fellow member of Parliament when the accident occurred. He had the wound examined and stitched by a doctor, while his colleagues, concerned about his absence, looked for him.
