NZPA Hong Kong A gritty fight-back by Christchurch’s John Williamson helped bring the New Zealand men’s golf team in one over par for its best three rounds at the world team championships for the Eisenhower Trophy in Hong Kong Wmiamson, playing in his first amateur world championship, holed a 12 metre putt on

the last hole for par. He finished with 75, after a “very gutsy round," the team captain, Mr Barry Forrest, said. The New Zealand team made an excellent start. Greg Turner carded a five under par 67. New Zealand was sixth. The United States led with a seven under,xiar total. Michael Barltrop had a 59, and Ills fellow Aucklander, Terry Cochrane, had a 75.
