Base to be inspected

Air Commodore J. J. Gordon, the Air Officer, Commanding Royal New Zealand Air Force Support Group, will make his annual inspection of R.N.Z.A.F. base, Wigram, on Moday and Tuesday.

The inspection will begin with a ceremonial parade of base servicemen and servicewomen at which Air Commodore Gordon will present the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to Flight Sergeant P. W. Tolhoek, Sergeant P. Brown, and Leading Aircraftman R. H. Burdett. The medal is awarded after 18 years of exemplary service in the R.N.Z.A.F. After his inspection of Wigram, Air Commodore Gordon will inspect bases at Woodbourne and Te Rapa. Training units in Auckland which also come under his jurisdiction will also be inspected before his return to wigram on Friday.
