Rural women’s workshop
Rural women will be encouraged and stimulated to explore their potential for greater involvement in community affairs at a special workshop to be held at Lincoln College early in July.
The programme for the two-day workshop, on Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7, will cover setting goals, increasing self confidence, making decisions, leadership, rural small business, and account-
Recognising personal strengths, and presenting oneself for full-time employment, voluntary work, or the women’s appointments file, will also be covered.
The programme has been designed by rural women working with staff from Lincoln College and Christchurch Polytecnic.
The intention of the twoday workshop is to help rural women recognise and acknowledge their strengths, aptitudes, interests and abilities. The workshop fee of $57 also includes midday meals, dinner on the Friday evening, and morning and afternoon tea. '«£’
