Money found in bucket
PA Tauranga A plastic bucket containing $16,000 was found under bags containing traces of cannabis when the police searched the bedroom of a Maketu man, the District Court at Tauranga was told yesterday. Various amounts of cannabis weighing a total of 2.4 kg, and 10.10 grams of cannabis seed were also found in the house, Sergeant G. B. Troy said. Wayne John Dobson, aged
30, unemployed, was charged with possessing cannabis for supply at Maketu on April 17. After the taking of depositions Dobson pleaded not guilty to the charge. Justices of the Peace, Mrs G. D. du Faur and Mr J. M. Church, found there was a case to answer and committed Dobson for trial at the District Court at Tauranga on September 3. Dobson was released on bail of $3OOO.
