Weedons lead golf
Weedons had two wins at Burnham to hold the lead in the Central Canterbury Shield inter-club golf competition. Points after five rounds: Weedons 4 (20%), Burnham 3 (24), Peninsula Combined 3 (21), Lincoln 2% (19), Greendale 2% (16), Richmond Hill 2 (14), Charteris Bay 1% (17), Ellesmere 1 (16%), Hororata % (12). Results of the fourth and fifth rounds were:— Fourth round Charteris Bay 4, Lincoln 4 G. C. Saunders beat P. Terrace, 1 up; D. Samson beat P. Clarkson, 5 and 4; L. J. Davis beat A. Carver, 1 up; N.
