More use buses
An extra 135,000 passengers travelled on Christchurch buses during the recent six-week “Bus ’n Win” promotion, bringing in $47,000 in additional revenue. The Christchurch Transport Board promotion finished last week with one passenger having won $lOOO and six others $lOO
each. Mr P. V. Neary, the board’s chairman, said thousands of remaining tickets had been submitted for the final $lOOO draw in the promotion. The board now intends carrying out a market research exercise aimed at keeping the new passengers attracted by the promotion.
