‘Too provocative’
NZPA-Reuter Kuala Lumpur The British pop idol, Boy George, has proved just too provocative for Islamic National television has cut George — complete with make-up and dreadlocks — from its screening of the annual Grammy awards because of his “feminine face and attire,” said a Radio Television
Malaysia official yesterday. The State-owned network disappointed millions of viewers by suddenly dropping the scheduled telecast of the music awards last weekend without explanation. The three-hour American show will go out today minus Boy George and certain dance routines which were not “within the norms of decency,” the official said.
