Confiscation of profits
PA Wellington The Government will move next year to confiscate the profits of criminals, said the Minister of Justice, Mr McLay. “I regard it as totally unacceptable that, say, a major drug dealer could serve a long term of imprisonment, but then come out to live on the proceeds of his evil trade,” he told the Auckland Justices of the Peace Association.
