Mr B. Kelly elected

From J. J. BOYLE Wellington Mr Bernard Kelly, of Taranaki, yesterday succeeded Mr Eric Nathan, of Wellington, as vice-presi-dent of the New Zealand Racing Conference. Mr Kelly was elected to that office on a third ballot, in which he was opposed by Mr Jim Bull (Wanganui). Mr Roy Robinson (Waikato) dropped out of contention on the first ballot and Canterbury’s Mr John Fulton went out on the second ballot. Mr Nathan is standing down after nine years as vice-president, but Mr Arthur Hughes said yesterday that he will have one more year as president. Mr W. E. W. Ormond did not seek another term as the Hawke’s Bay representative on the conference executive. He has been succeeded by Mr G. P. Donnelly.
