NERO Top stallion in U.S.A.
WITH half the American racing season completed, the prepotent stallion, Nero, has sired the most new 2:00 performers with 24 leading Most Happy Fella with 23 and Albatross with 20 new credits. From only 4 racing crops Nero now has 115 individual 2:00 performers including 6 in under 1:55. And Nero has made an even bigger impact this season among the 2-year-olds. He is the leading sire of 2:10 2-year-olds with 27 to his credit including 5 in 2:00 (Horseman and Fair World June 29, issue). Nero’s only son to stand at stud in New Zealand is the highly credentialled Clever Innocence standing his second season at Neville Benny’s Spring Park Stud, Springstpn, telephone 295-635. Clever Innocence served 83 mares last season and returned a highly successful 95 per cent fertility rate. He is well worth the inspection. Advt
