Poll victory
The Conservatives, retaining their hold on oil-rich Alberta, have crushed their opponents in provincial elections, winning 75 of the 79 seats. A prime’ casualty of the poll was Gordon Kesler, a former rodeo cowboy who in February won a seat in the provincial legislature by preaching separatism for Canada’s western states.— Edmonton.
