Adult Adoption Information Bill
Sir.—ln defence of my letter (October 5), I would like to say that it was shortened and printed out of context. My point was that the women who chose to give life to these children deserve the favour returned, if this is what they desire. I am an adoptive mother myself, and do not wish my children to be hurt either by a person, knowledge, or rejected by a veto. I do feel that there should be some way in which mutually consenting adoptees and, natural mothers are able to make contact, but do not think that Jonathon Hunt’s bill is the answer — Yours, etc.
SUSAN KENNARD. October 8. 1982.
[The letter of October 5 was over our stated word limit and was shortened because of that. — Editor]
