Alcohol abuse
Sir,—l read with much interest of the 150 or so people in the Christchurch area alone whose lives and brains have been destroyed through longterm over-indulgence in alcohol. We are urged to consume more of this intellectdestructive agent in all areas of our lives. In the same issue of "The Press” in which the above item appeared (October 7), drink advertisements occupied five times the column space of the warnings. “Be Con-ten-ted” we are told. This kind of advertising is a crime against humanity. — Yours, etc.,
