Law and order
Sir,—When electioneering before the last election a prominent National Party candidate said: “We stand for law and order.” Recently a 66-year-old nun was assaulted' and beaten up in Nelson; her attacker received a three-year prison term for the crime. That has, on appeal, been reduced to 18 months. Is this the kind of law and order we want? — Yours, etc., S. WADE. October 10, 1982.
