Moko woman dies at 100

PA Whakatane One of the last living women with a moko, Mrs Pirihita Pateriki, died on August 12, aged 100. Mrs Pateriki, who lived at Matata, celebrated her hundredth birthday in April; She was the mother of 19 children and had five daughters and three sons still living.
