Stolen skins
The Christchurch police are warning skin buyers to watch for a haul of stolen opossum furs. About 2000 grey-top opossum skins were stolen from a Palmerston North warehouse last week. Some of the skins which had been packed into seven fadges, had the letters DR printed on the inside. The police suspect that the thieves may try to sell some of the skins in the South Island.
