Trade and aid
Sir,—lsn’t it a mad, mad, mad. mad world? Israeli-made military equipment is being used by Argentina against Britain. Then we find that the Reagan Government has decided to sell Israel jet fighters, although America is backing Britain in its fight against Argentina. French-built planes are being used by Argentina with which to attack the British, yet France joins with the rest of the European Economic Community in placing a trade embargo on Argentinian goods, because of its aggression against Britain. You’re allowed to draw your own conclusions.—Yours. etc., BRIDGET S. STEYN. June 1, 1982.
