Pamphlet
Sir,—Alan Wilkinson's letter (June 1) in defence of the misleading T.H.A.W. pamphlet which he admits to not having seen, neglects the central issue. Does T.H.A.W. have the right to ignore the authority of a college, the rights of parents and their possible objections by distributing to students outside a college a pamphlet that is misleading and morally detrimental? Alan Wilkinson claims that Catholic colleges present a one-sided view of the killing of the unborn. Catholic colleges have consistently taught students the truth that man was created by God in His image, that human life begins at conception, is sacred and that the child in the womb should be respected and protected. It is self-evident that every human being has a right to life and the pursuit of happiness. It thus follows that the deliberate killing of the unborn is a serious offence against God and humanity. It is unfortunate if Alan Wilkinson considers this teaching onesided.—Yours. etc., K. ORR. June 1, 1982.
