Three airline reports soon

Parliamentary reporter Three reports. that will affect the finances and running of Air New Zealand are now coming together. A special report by a team of American consultants. Colker and Associates, is due. The report was commissioned by the Government, and Treasury will base recommendations to the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) upon it. The Treasury report will make recommendations on possible airline efficiencies or assistance by the Government.

The third report, the Domestic Air Services Policy Review, which examines the profitability of provincial routes for Air New Zealand, was held over last year by the Cabinet for further discussion.

The Colker Report is known to make recommendations that wilj' affect domestic services and it is believed that it and the policy review will be considered together. Before the Treasury makes its report and recommendations to the Minister, it will consult Air New Zealand. Representatives of Colker and Associates met with Air New Zealand executives sev-

eral weeks ago, and they are expected out- again when the report is presented to the Treasury and Air New Zealand. '
