Kekerengu cattle sale
Buyers from the West Coast and Marlborough provided much of the buying power at the Kekerengu annual cattle sale on Monday. A total of 518 two year and a half steers was sold on account of the Bluff Station. Herefords sold for between $286 and §328, Angus cross sold for between $278 and $314, and Angus sold from $269 to. $296. Fifty-two two year and a half Angus and’ Hereford
steers offered by R. C. Heard (Wairewa) sold for between $291 and $309. For 31 Angus and Hereford 18-month steers, sold by G. A. and C. A. Nimmo (Muzzle Station), prices ranged from $l6O to $215. Sixty-six Angus and Angus-Hereford cross heifers sold for between $ll9 and $l6l. A total of 150 steer calves offered by Muzzle Station sold for between $lOO and $l5O and 81 heifer calves realised . between $7B and $lOO.
