Walter leads yachting

Gavin Walter went most of the way towards winning the Canterbury A class catamaran yachting championship when he gained line honours in four heats at Pigeon Bay. After having been runner-up to Chris Hensley — who did not compete at Pigeon Bay — in the opening race. Walter now has a commanding over-all lead. Warren Stone was the next bestperformed skipper last week-end, , returning three seconds. The Paper Tiger series was much more' evenly contested.
