Two men remanded
Two men were remanded in custody to -today when they made a brief appearance in the District Court on Saturday ' charged with the aggravated robbery of the North New Brighton Post Office on February 22. One of the men was granted interim suppression of name pending an application for a medical report. He is accused of robbing Leslie Annette Tosland of $3406, the property of the New Zealand Post Office,
while armed with a .177 calibre gas pistol. The other man, Duane Thomas Tito, aged 20, is jointly charged with robbing Leslie Annette Tosland of $3406 in notes, the property of the New Zealand Post Office, while armed with a carving knife. Tito also faces charges of burgling the Duntroon Post Office on, March 3, and of unlawfully taking cars at Duntroon, Christchurch, Ashburton. and Timaru.
