Softball points

A.G.C. United and Noel Leeming Burnside head the points table in the new premier men's softball competition.

Burnside caught back up to United when it beat Papanui. 5-0. in a previously deferred game at Papanui Domain on Wednesday evening.

Murray Lanini scored twice for Burnside and both Michael Hall and Roger Hutton batted .500. Altogether, the team chalked up seven hits in a vastly improved batting performance from the previous evening’s 0-1 losing effort against United.
