Cost of tour for soccer cup
Sir.—On reading your news item. " 'Royal' tours to Spain,"
and taking the item at its face value, I am not surprised that the New Zealanders who operate Sportsworld Travel have been criticised for high costs. I spent 10 days in Spain (Majorca) and the cost, which included return air tavel, transfers to hotel and airport,
three meals % day and a three star hotel, was £BO "($lBO roughly). True,, this was just before ’,‘the season," and one would expect to pay .more atthe height of the season; but, even with the soccer tickets thrown in. the cost appears exorbitant. I hope the British public are not taken in. It would be interesting to know how long this firm has been operating. — Yours, etc., M. JEFFERIES. January 20. 1982.
