Cruelty to dogs
Sir.—To all humane people, the account of the terrible treatment of animals in the Philippines must be repulsive. I endorse the views of those who have already written to you. What can be done to alter
the situation? Many would help, if we only knew how. — Yours, etc..
E. M. JENNINGS. Tinwald. January 19. 1982.
Sir.—On reading articles in “Truth" concerning the cruelty and subsequent eating of dogs in the Philippines, I was absolutely horrified. Surety the S.P.C.A. could start the ball rolling by making its voice heard in the right quarters. I would be quite prepared to contribute in whatever way possible, even if it meant going out gathering in names for a petition. Do others feel this way? Or am I in the minority? .— Yours, etc., SALLY D. M. REYNOLDS. January 19. 1982.
