Housework
Sir,—Who was the person on 3YA who spoke of housework as an unskilled job? Let me assure her, that in fact, housework is a collection of a great many skilled jobs. Ask any “real” husband who has had to take over the running of a house, while his wife is in hospital for instance, as whs my case recently. At the end of the week the house was a “mess” and I, having been granted a week’s leave off my skilled job, am humbly grateful to be going back to. its 40 hour limit this week.—Yours, etc., F. ROSS. November 13, 1981.
