Supermarket award
PA Wellington The award covering ’supermarket workers throughout New Zealand was settled in conciliation in Christchurch yesterday said a statement issued last evening by the Shop Employees Association’s advocate, Mr R. J. Campbell. Wages for adult workers will increase by 10 per cent and wages for junior workers
will increase by 10.5 per ' cent. ! Other improvements have been gained in annual leave, sick leave, and domestic leave.
The employers and unions • have also agreed to establish ! a sub-committee which will i study the impact of new ' technology in the super ! market industry during the next 12 months.
