N.Z. fund to help Guards
PA Auckland New Zealand formerGuardsmen have set up a fund to help the 23 Irish Guards injured in the central London bomb blast on October 10.
The president of the, 150member Guards’ Association of New Zealand, Mr Denis Turner, said that he was "horrified and outraged, to put it mildiv" at the attack. The blast killed a woman and injured 40 people, eight soldiers seriously, outside the Chelsea Armv Barracks. Mr Turner, a former soldier in the Coldstream Guards, said the association had sent money to injured Welsh Guards in a similar attack a few years ago.
