Wife beaters bill soon
PA Wellington A bill concerning domestic violence would be introduced before the end of the Parliamentary session, the House heard yesterday. The Minister of Justice (Mr McLay) said the bill was still being drafted. No date had been set for its introduction. It would be considered by a select committee during the recess. Mr McLay was answering a question by Mrs Mary Batchelor (Lab.. Avon).
