The Scottish team had an intensive two-hour workout in preparation for the game under its coach, Jim Teller, after it arrived in Masterton yesterday morning. Behind Mr Teller’s decision to work the side hard obvious desire for retribution after Saturday’s loss and a realisation that the good of the tour depends on a confidence building performance. the players who participated in the 15-9 loss at the hands of Wellington, for the second mid-week fixture, The happiest sight of the day for the tourists was to see the side’s captain and full-back, Andy Irvine, taking a full part in the training run — superficially at least unaffected by the groin strain problem which kept him out of last Saturday’s match, The Scottjsh team . d j rvine .
